Seattle. Seattle. Seattle. I’m ready to pack my bags and move in.
Our flight left at 1:00 am and we landed in Seattle at 5:30. We were ahead of schedule and we stopped by the USO in SeaTac to take a nap and grab breakfast. This was my first time in a USO but I was very impressed. The volunteers inside were very nice and helpful, there were a variety of breakfast choices, chairs and couches covered the main floor, and there was a family room in the back for those who were traveling with children. I would definitely recommend the USO to all traveling military families.
After breakfast we finally headed into the city. Thankfully we were able to check into the hotel early and drop off our bags before we left to explore the city. My husband and I are big fans of seeing popular sights whenever we visit a new place, so our first stop was the Space Needle and the Museum of Pop Culture, MoPOP. We headed over to eat lunch at Dick’s Drive In after that (which I definitely recommend).
Most of our afternoon was spent closer to our hotel doing a bit of shopping. We were both very tired after a long workday Thursday and we didn’t want to be to far away from our room.
We ended our day with the new Power Rangers movie. We were both actually really excited to see this movie and we were not disappointed. While I can see why this movie isn’t for everyone, it was awesome to relieve some childhood memories.
